oughhh what the hell man, the imagery in this goes hard. the places you chose for the ABC's stuck with me, i felt a slight recoil with some of these descriptions. the part with tourniquets and scalpels keeping the beat, the emptying of ego from the skull.. awesome.
Yeah. Nobody quite knows where things like the ego are located... but if Josef Mengele and his ilk could have found out, they would have had a field day with the knowledge.
There's a thinner line than we realize between cruelty and compassion, which is why I am always suspicious of those who seem unquestioningly certain that they stand on the correct side of it.
HELP. if someone had beat him to it, perhaps they could pull a "necessary evil" and extract mengele's instead. maybe that way he would be humbled and lessen his horrible contributions to the war....
another take of yours i agree with. when i was younger, i used to always believe i was on the "better" side of those too, and it blinded me from seeing when i would actually do something wrong. road to hell is paved with good intentions. on the intention vs. how something actually turns out, there's always so much nuance to be considered.
